Fruits of Labor

Ultimately, J decided to make jam and try his hand at wine. We now have about 12 grape jam jars neatly stacked in our cupboard, and I believe they're botulism free as we heard the distinctive 'popping' as the jars cooled after processing.

Boppy enjoyed stirring and thought that the jam was delicious. To borrow from Frances Mayes, author, the jam smelled purple as it was cooking.

The grapes for the wine are currently fermenting with yeast; it's a work in progress. I'll keep you posted!
