Woodrow Wilson

Log was required to present a report on a 'lesser known' President in honor of President's Day. For reasons unknown to me, his teacher opted to include Woodrow Wilson on this list! When speaking to other parents, I was grateful Log didn't choose Buchcanan or Filmore!

J and I learned all that we could ever wish to know about Wilson.

Here are a few tidbits for you:
- Wilson is the only president to hold a doctorate.
- He is said to have suffered from dyslexia as a child and did not learn to read until the age of ten.
- His first name is Thomas, and he was known as Tommy growing up in Virginia.
- Etiquette during his lifetime demanded that no one walk ahead of the President, but Wilson insisted that his wife entered rooms first.
- He was a lifelong baseball enthusiast.
- Wilson's second wife was a descendant of Pocahontas.
- His image graces a $100,000 bill, though it is no longer in circulation.

Project in Progess: Log had to make a coat hanger President. The completed project is currently hanging in his room on the door of his cupboard.
