Tobolino's

This weekend, I had grand designs to go to Schwarzwald, The Black Forest, that were put asunder by rain. Facing an entire weekend confined to our home was not desirable. Having read about Tobolino's in a children's magazine, I set off with the kiddos to find it.

Tobolino's is a warehouse filled with bouncies, bungee corded trampolines, an indoor racetrack, ball pits, climbing apparatuses, and other amusements. Admission was a bit on the extortionate side but well worth it; the kiddos jumped, bounced, climbed and drove themselves into a sleepy state! Interestingly enough, I was not made to sign a disclaimer or acknowledgement of any kind upon entry.

Matty at the wheel

This bouncy was interesting as the lower jaw inflated on a timer.  When inflated, the jaw forced the mouth shut and children were made to slide down and out of the tail.  Children piled into the mouth and waited for it to inflate.

Camouflaged

Trampolines with bungee cords.  Children were strapped into harnesses and the slack removed from the lines.  Afterward, the children were able to jump upward of 20 feet in the air.

Bop was the first to try

Littlest was content to eat dinner while the other three jumped.  Ketchup was for the nuggets while the mayo was intended for the french fries.  Littlest now eats mayo exclusively with her potatoes!  Not aware of policy, I was glad to find out that outside food is welcome.  Most parents lugged in picnic baskets and read while their children played.

Airborne Matty

Climbing the big top

Log ready to release and slide down the big top

Slides here are something like conveyer belts.  Children sit on mats or in boxes and roll down the slide.

The big top.  Children, with difficulty, climbed to the top only to slide down again.  Slippers with rubber grips were available for purchase to aid the climbing process, but most children shed their socks to aid the process.
