School Christmas Parties

Each of the kids had class Christmas parties (including Log).

In Log's class, they listened to carols as they opened book exchange gifts. Afterward, they munched on pounds and pounds of sweets while wearing antlers one parent brought in for the students.

These days, Log's hair is perpetually tousled. He likens himself to Harry Potter :)

Bop's class had an all-out feast in their classroom before exchanging books and playing games like Jeopardy together.

Littlest's class performed a concert (singing two songs in German!) and ate cookies they exchanged with one another. Littlest left school that day with a sack full of Christmas crafts including reindeer chow that she's eager to sprinkle on our loggia.

This holiday season, we've extra reason to celebrate as 1st Armored Division has returned home to the families that have been anxiously awaiting them for upward of a year. Several fathers surprised their children during the Christmas festivities by showing up announced. It never fails to move me as children burst into tears surprised by seeing their fathers before them in the flesh; it's beautiful. As you enjoy this magical time with your family, please keep soldiers and their families in your prayers as they endure separation from loved ones.
