Log is quite a shy boy, and when we walked into the gym that was packed with the parents of nearly 200 performing students, he was a bit taken aback. Maybe seeing his classmates lined up on the bleachers bolstered his courage, and he soon took his place next to his good friend, Gabe.
Because we arrived 10 minutes before the performance was to begin, J and I were forced to sit several rows back and did not have a clear line of sight of Log. Log must have noticed our heads bobbing and weaving in between those seated in front of us as he always to care to wave and grin when we caught sight of him.
In all, he sat for nearly an hour and a half and sang something like six songs. He did extremely well, and we were so proud of him. Christmas truly is a magical time of year!
It is best not to fight some battles. Littlest is beginning to assert her own 'fashion sense' and it is impossible to deter her once she has set her mind to something. So, despite the fact that we attended the school's Christmas Program, we allowed her to walk out of the house in this: pink polka dot rain boots, polka dot pants and a tutu. What is not pictured is the lilac scarf she had worn earlier in the evening. She was most happy with herself, and J and I can resist nothing that makes her happy!
Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
