West Point won the AT&T sponsored World's Largest Pep Rally contest in which over 100 universities vied for the free Dave Matthews Band concert by sending text messages and video feeds to the AT&T blueroom. The contest was scored by the number of 'votes' relative to total enrollment, and West Point cast half a million votes.News of the win came while J and I were in Russia, and we registered for the free tickets during one of our sleepless jet lagged nights. Luckily, we both received tickets, procured babysitters (thanks Leila and Michelle), and watched an amazing show.
Cadets seemed to enjoy themselves though they were still restricted to uniforms. The concert was webcast live to the AT&T blueroom and on a seven hour delay to soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Dave played songs from all albums, and the length of the show was generous. The venue was intimate and likely the most intimate he's played in some time; Eisenhower Hall seats just over 4,000 guests. J and I had great seats (just look at the pics!)

* Our first date was a DMB concert, and J proposed at (another) DMB concert, so good memories are associated with Dave!
