We went to Positano and Sorrento based on our friend Kerri's recommendations and were not disappointed. Positano was our favorite coastal town though it's built on a vertical axis and made for a good quads workout! The kiddos played in the sea, climbed up and down countless steps, and enjoyed their meal eaten on a terrace located on the beach. I had two pairs of shoes made for me (I couldn't resist the supple leather) and would have spent a small fortune in a linen shop if J hadn't been there to curb my appetite for draping skirts.

There was a confectioner's shop in Sorrento whose lemony, sugary scent wafted down the alley. We couldn't resist and bought limoncello creams.
