For us, the highlight of Stockholm was the Vasa Museum. The museum houses the Vasa, a 17th century ship, that sank on her maiden voyage. The ship was salvaged in the 1960's and is something like 98% original.
A representation of what the bow would have looked like when built and brightly painted.
The Vasa had 64 guns, and efforts were made to recover them shortly after the sinking. Log is standing in a diving bell that was used to recover some of the guns. The diver and bell were dipped several times in the water and then submerged: the dipping created an air bubble for the diver. We unanimously agreed that we would NEVER have agreed to dive in that bell!
We bought some of those cinnamon buns, and they were amazing!
We paused under an awning to wait out the sudden rainstorm.
Alfred Nobel is best known for inventing dynamite!
We watched the mounted guard outside of the Palace. They played several musical pieces, including Michael Buble's Sway, from their seats!
Reindeer/Elk beg you to eat more chicken in Sweden (unlike Chick-fil-A's cows).
Dancing Queen!

Littlest was the only one among us brave enough to swim. Temperatures were primarily in the 60's during our trip, but the salt water pool was heated.
