Thursday marked Bop's eighth birthday: she took treats to school, celebrated with family at home and looked forward to her party in January (venues were completely booked).
At school, Bop wore a special birthday crown and was given a 'homework pass,' which she is saving for a day when the load is burdensome.
Once home, the kiddos and I assembled her gifts, sang Happy Birthday, ate cake, and watched as she opened her gifts. This year marked the excitement of opening gifts to reveal clothing, accessories and books. American Girl items were the only toys Bop received this year. Bop is anxious to make the scrapbook sent by Aunt Jenn and Uncle John using pictures Nana sent, has watched the DVD from Uncle Jesse and Aunt Nicole, and is knee deep in the books Aunt Jacquie and Uncle Scott sent; thank you!
Bop said that she doesn't 'feel' eight, but she does feel that it's time for her own room!
She didn't divulge what she wished for this year; a mark of her growing up.
Bop and Kit!
Bop loved her hat, Nana!
My baby is growing into a lovely young girl.

I can't believe she's 8! I miss hearing "Miss Buggy." : )
