What's in the Cards

Tonight, J and I played the Game of Life with Bop and Log.

This is how the game turned out this evening:

Bop chose to begin her career rather than go to college, eloped, had two children right away, got a job as a salesclerk which she lost shortly thereafter, became an athlete, lost her job, was sued multiple times (by Log), gambled twice, played the lottery and bought a double wide RV. I hope she learned something!

Log went to college, became a lawyer, bought a Tudor style home which he refused to sell, had twins (boys only which he named Michael and Josh) sued EVERYONE and was generally miserly with his money.

J and I tried to avoid landing on the spaces which required us to have children (knowing how much we'd have to fork over for summer camps and college).  J was an athlete, lost his job, became a police officer, and retired after having paid off the debt for his children's college but only just.  I was a doctor, had two children, traveled and retired in a mansion (the future looks promising for you, Jesse!).

Meanwhile, Littlest pushed her car filled entirely with pink pegs around the board indiscriminately.  Matty petered out long before the game was finished.

So glad this was a fictional version of life!

That is absolutely hillarious! Games like that cause so much undue stress for parents, when the usual goal of playing such games is to enjoy a nice, leisurely night with the family in an attempt to remind ourselves what great children we have!
